Boy Has It Been A While :(

Sorry it has been sooooo long (Aunt Teresa)....Life has been a little busy and I just have not taken the time to get on this lovely computer and post any of our recent activities since summer has started.  We have surely been out enjoying the sun.  Hopefully I've got enough time right now (everyone else is napping) to schedule a few posts for the week!!

Our first trip of the summer was for an afternoon at Frank Brown Park.  It was sort of unplanned but was VERY enjoyable.  Tori....well lets just say....she knows how to get what she wants.  She was begging me to hold her and I was refusing.  She found Uncle Rick, latched on and of course she had him hook, line & sinker!!!  But, I sure got some good photos!

  
As for Justin and Taylor...they like to argue from time to time...but for the most part, you get the two of them together and they are best buds in their own little world.

Lord only knows where she gets this from....but all of these various faces were expressed with in about an hours time....

Race Judicata

Since Taylor enjoyed her bunny hop race so much...she joined me for what may be the last race of the Spring - Race Judicata. So after mommy got done posting her new personal record for a 5K Taylor, Abbi, Hannah & Lily all took part if the 1/2 mile fun run.

Once again...Taylor was ALL smiles the whole time and not to mention....she posted her new personal record as well.  Her previous time was 5:12 and as you can see this time was 4:37 - Awesome Taylor!!  (Kudos to Nana for catching this great shot)

And here was her award...she placed 1st in her age group.  (OK, so maybe she was the only one in her age group, but none the less!!!)

Pure Beauty

The girls and I went to Target the other day to get a pretzel and an icee.....and Lord knows, mommy can't go to Target without "looking" around.  And to my pleasant surprise....found them a couple of dresses.  And the best part....one of them was on clearance.

Rabbit Race

Check out the smile on this girls face as she crossed the finish line of her half mile bunny hop...mommy was sooo proud...she ran the whole thing without stopping!!

Flower Girls

Our Dearest Aunt Teresa got married recently....and in doing so asked for Taylor & Tori to be her flower girls.  Number one...I was TOTALLY proud of the as they both did a GREAT job.  Number two, (and again, I do realize I am a little partial) they were soooooo beautiful.

I wish I could tell you this was Taylor and Haley "tossing" our catch on to the dock....but....I would have to say this was Taylor and Haley "chuncking/throwing/slamming" the fish on the dock....it was quite hilarious

And to top off the most wonderful day in a long time....Capt Mike cleaned our fish and we took them across the street to J Michael's who cooked them right up for us....I had never been there before....but it was sooo good I can certainly promise you....I will be going back.

The Best Day...Part Two

Go figure this trip was a little picture intensive for me.....I was soooooo happy and excited for the girls.

At times they were totally in to the fishing and at others....they would rather just run around and play on the boat.  Which was OK with me because I actually got to reel in a few myself.

A HUGE thanks to Capt Mike & Miss Sherri for such an amazing day.

It took Taylor a little while to warm up to even getting this close to the fish....

But it didn't take her long at all to warm up to driving the boat
    

And you had to watch Tori....when no one was looking...she would run off and climb in the captains chair and yes....try to drive the boat....seriously!  She is the cutest captain ever though.

The Best Day In a Really Looooooooooong Time

Amazingly enough the little girl (Haley) that Taylor has become best friends with at school....her mommy (Sherri) and I went to school together as well (a long time ago!)

For the last three years they have tried to arrange for us to go fishing with them and finally it all came together this year.  So I left tax season EARLY on a Saturday and headed for the docks.

The two best buds!!

We were paid a nice visit by the dolphins who were looking for some free food.  While they were cute here....they became a little annoying later as they were eating the fish right off the end of our poles as we tried to reel them in.

Haley is pretty much a pro at this since it's what her daddy does for a living.  But she loved helping show Tori how to reel in her first fish...

All who know me...knows what time of year it is!!

IT'S TAX SEASON

So everyone PLEASE forgive me for my lack of posts recently.

I promise to get back on track as soon as it's over!!

And one tid-bit of news...

I ran a 5K on the 26th and actually WON my age group!!

CALL ME CRAZY.....I know!!!

The most wonderful sister-in-law in the world....(well one of two!!) sent me a text the other day just wondering if by chance I would be interested in participating in either a duathlon or maybe even a "sprint" triathlon.  So me, loving the challenge...excitedly agreed and committed to taking part in the "sprint" triathlon.  Which will consist of a .35 mile swim in the Gulf a 15 mile bike ride followed by a 3.1 mile run.
