Fly Like A Bird

I took the girls to the mall the other day to jump on the "bouncey thing at the mall"....of course Taylor went first....and she LOVES to do this.....Tori on the other had is never so sure at first....but after a few minutes, she grows wings and......"flys like a birdie" make me of course so proud of her!!

I have tried ALL summer to get Taylor to go down some of the "bigger" slides at Big Kahunas.  Well last time we went, Tori was really tired so while I sat in the chair trying to get Tori to sleep Braden, Taylor and Aunt Stacey were going to the water fountains.  Low and behold several minutes later they finally make their way back and Taylor comes running saying mommy, mommy, I went down the big slide all by myself.  Truthfully, I really did not even believe her.  But to my utter amazement....she really had.

So we have gone from....I can not even get in the shallow end without my life jacket.....to jumping off the diving board with nothing but floaties!!!! She's becoming a girl after my own heart!!

What Beauties

I know I have told of my difficulty gettig good pictures of Taylor lately....but this one....man is she beautiful....I'm still not real sure where she gets her eyes and blonde hair.....amazingly enough this was taken in the lobby of the dentist's office the other day.

And this little booger....she's just about always cute....unless she is pouting....then, not so cute!!

I'm telling you, this little smile melts my heart EVERY time!!

1st Trip to the Dentist

I have never been more proud....I took the girls to their very first dentist appointment the other day and they did a wonderful job....BOTH of them.  No crying, not scared, nothing.....they just sat right down in their chairs and let the lady clean their teeth.

I had intended on taking them to see Kim from church since they know her and she is Aubrey's mommy....but when I asked Taylor if she wanted to go their or to a place where they only clean kid's teeth....she said....to the place where they only clean kids teeth....so, this is where we went.

Taylor is really sort of my whiner so I was shocked that she did so well.  She sat right down in her chair, let the lady clean ALL of her teeth and as you can see, they even sprayed the water & did the suction.  Not to mention all this was followed by her first set of x-rays....they lady was only going to do 2, but Taylor did so well....they lady got ALL 4!!!

Tori wasn't quite as sure about the whole ordeal.....at first the lady says...OK, are you ready....and of course Tori says....NO!!  So I came and sat down beside her and she laid right down and let the lady clean her teeth too!!!

All in all, it was a great experience with two beautiful smiles!!!

We missed this kid's pool last time we went to Big Kahunas....I think my kids absolutely loved it...that's all I heard about for two days was the twisty slides!!!

You know, by this shot, you would think Taylor had just swam a lap in an olympic size pool!!!  When really.....it's all of about maybe 4 seconds under water!!
