The Start of Tax Season

I have officially been at my current job for 14 years.  Seems crazy I know...sort of doesn't even seem possible...but 18 years old plus 14 years...puts me at yes, 32....SO IT IS POSSIBLE!!

I have almost always loved my job...which is a total blessing in itself, I'm not sure too many people could say that.  The last 5 years had been sort of rough.  But over the last 2 years it has totally turned around again.  We have a really good group of people who are funny, hard working and enjoyable to spend the majority of your day with.

It was so refreshing this past Saturday to work only half a day and then go spend the entire afternoon with the co-workers at a lake.  We had corn chowder from the Red Elephant, Brunswick Stew from Smitty's, fresh made smores and even a bag of oysters...some raw and some smoked on the grill.

I say all that just to show a few shots I got of the girls at the lake.

Lip Gloss???

Taylor & her dearest friend at school Haley exchanged Christmas gifts the other night.  Boy were the girls excited when they saw the huge, pink Barbie make up case.  Well in the midst of my whirl wind the other night, Tori apparently drug it out when I wasn't exactly looking.  Once I came around the corner and caught her....I said Tori, what are you doing......she said.....putting on lip gloss.

Quite the contrary!!

Playhouse

Here a just a few shots of the one and only time the girls have even gotten to play on their new swing set.  It rained Christmas afternoon, then turned freezing cold for several days, then rained several more days...so seriously the only time they have even played on it was Christmas morning for about an hour!!  Hopefully this Saturday they will get the opportunity to enjoy it for a while.  Taylor LOVES this rope climber.

 If I wasn't afraid of how upset she would be, I WISH I had a picture of when she took off running and tried to jump up and catch these rings....but, she completely missed and busted her butt.

 MY favorite part....the bright yellow slide!!  If I had to be honest, I just might tell you that was the entire selling point as far as I'm concerned!!

 And the next best part....its a twisty slide!!

All in all, its exactly what I hoped it would be.

 It even came with its own built in picnic table.  I can see it now, this summer, there will be lots of meals served outside.

As was breakfast served Christmas morning.

Last but not least...it came with a tic tack toe board....here is a shot of Taylor beating her daddy at their first game.
 

Stylin

Taylor stayed home playing hookie with her daddy the other day.  I think he went looking for her a pair of khaki pants at the Children's Place and some how left with this beautiful addition to her outfit.

I know I say this all the time....and I know I'm partial, but man is she beautiful!!
