Oh my goodness how much fun we had!! Me, Nana, Taylor, Tori, Abbi & Braden all headed out to Mexico Beach for the day. It could not have been a better day to do so. Clear blue skies, a nice steady breeze, beautiful clean white sand and clear water.

Rainy Day Blues
For Uncle Chris & Aunt Danielle - these Virgina boots FINALLY got put to some good Florida use!!!!
On the way home the other day, there was this super short, but sopping rain shower. So when the girls & I got home, we put on our boots, and out we went
They were having a complete blast and as I was diligently trying to zoom in on Taylor to grab a shot of her facial expressions as she was jumping in the puddle.....notice little Miss Mischief who decided to SIT in the puddle.
And better yet, she finally stands up and then turns around to me, obvoiusly pointing at her butt and says......Mommy, my butt's wet???
Again, this all brings me back to the simple things in life....I sure wish everyday could be like this.
Just look at that face......

This is what happens when you spend all day at Big Kahunas!!!!!
And what better way to end any day......with pizza!!! (TOTALLY AWESOME PLACE.......IN MY OPINION)
And even better, to have spent the entire day with ones you love!!! A HUGE thanks to Nana and the Legg family for spending the day with me and the girls.

So I Finally Caught a Few
I know I have been sort of "complaining" that I never really get any pictures of Taylor......well, I FINALLY got a few!!
This one sort of melts my heart......
This one, I would swear she was up to something, I just don't know what!!!!
And this one, it had been a long day at the water park, but still she was willing to actually smile and let me get a picture!!

4th of July 2010
As we all know, this year, the fourth of July fell on a Sunday. These were my futile attempts to get a few pictures.
We drove up to church and there was this really cool old car in the parking lot with these beautiful American flags on the front. Had these two little booger cooperated, this would have been the best pictures ever.......but.....
And like the silly mom that I am.....I even tried again that night when we got to church.....and yet again......
My best attempts were squandered yet again!!
Ole'
Jason's birthday party theme was Mexican. Kelly did a wonderful job with the food. She had this lovely hat on the table for decor. As usual, Tori got her hands on it and the rest was history!!!
Although, I would have to say, she makes any Mexican sombrero cute!!! The only bad part, I think she knows it!!

Simplicity
These few shots were just random shots at Jason & Kelly's house recently. They have a swing set in their back yard that the girls just LOVE to play on. Actually, we have a swing set too, but it's still in boxes in the shed. Just maybe, one day, they might get to play on it.
I love the way the lighting is on this picture and the fact that she's not looking at the camera. The innocence of a child is an amazing thing. Yet, don't let them fool you. They are A LOT smarter than we ever give them credit for.
And this little booger......I'm telling you she is ALWAYS up to something with her innocence!!! I love when I get the chance to capture these moments.
This little face just melts my heart like nothing else in the world.
This beautiful little princess looked at me wearing a cute little dress the other day.....and says........mommy you're a princess!!! It took everything I had within me not to cry, I just grabbed her and said no darling.....you dear are the princess.

Putt Putt
I wish you could tell, but she was soooooo excited to get a pink ball.....where the girly comes from, I still don't know.
Boy, letting someone help her....I'm shocked!!! She is soooo independent.
And this little booger.....I wish I could post a video....she would get tired of trying to hit the ball, so she would pick it up, run up to the hole, set the ball down right beside it, then hit it in......adorable.
And amazingly enough....patiently waiting for our turn at the next hole.
Sometimes I look at her and all I see is BRYAN....but with a smile
I would have to admit, this was a special treat for me. I had so much fun watching them play and will certainly have to do it again in the very near future.

Sunshine
I know I am totally partial and biased, but these two are absolutely beautiful. I will never forget asking Bryan while I was pregnant that even if our baby was ugly, would we still think it was cute......I guess they are right......beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Here are just a few shots from the pool while at the Marriott.
And goofy of course...

Shell Island Cruise
I will have to admit....it has been at least 15 years since my bare feet have felt the sand on Shell Island. I spent a lot of time there as a kid with my parents. Most of our time there was spent on the bay side. One of the perks to staying at our Marriott is you get a free boat ride over to the Island. I was so excited when we got there because it takes you to a board walk that leads right over to the Gulf side of the Island. Let me just tell you.......there were very few peole over there (obviously).....the sand was georgious and the water was absolutely crystal clear. We were not able to stay for a super long time, but this was the girls first trip to the beach where they actually got to play in the water. They loved it. The waves were gently rolling in while they floated in their rafts......and Taylor kept referring to them as a roller coaster!!!
My dearest friend Aunti Amber wrote their names in the sand......simple I know, but my peon brain never comes up with these kind of things.......so once again, thank you Aunti Amber because this makes my heart melt.
And the coolest Uncle Adam in the world let the girls completely bury him in the sand....with lots of help from Auntie Amber.....
And then with Uncle Adam fully burried, they put the final touch on their new creation......a hermit crab!! Sorry Uncle Adam.
This was the ONLY pic I got of both of them at the same time.....and I sooooo wish I had some water pictures but I couldn't hold on to their floats and take pictures in the Gulf at the same time.
You know, everyone said with the second child there are less pictures and that the ones you do get always seem to have the first child in them too......well, that hasn't exactly played out in our world. I have TONS of pictures of Tori, very few of Taylor and very few of them together????????????? I guess Taylor is at the age she purposely won't let me get my pictures and when I threaten her or bribe her for one, the face is so cheesy it might would emarrass her to put it on here!!!

Air Boat
So the coolest thing ever....well not really....but recently we got to enjoy a FREE weekend stay at the Marriott @ Bay Point.....then we got to take the girls to play a FREE game of putt putt, then we got to enjoy a FREE boat ride over to Shell Island......then we enjoyed a dinner at Boon Docks (not free!!!).....but then we got to experience a FREE airboat ride!!! Let me tell you, these girls LOVED it. They even had to wear ear muffs because it is so loud and they did not give us a hard time at all.......and look at how stinkin cute they are....even in ear muffs......
OK, you have to look close at this picture......Tori was so intent when I called her name to snap a picture....she wouldn't even turn her head and look at me.....I didn't know someone's eyes could cut that hard!!!! Not to mention....check out her holding on to Nana's hand.
These are the moments that make it worth it all.......
This face was the moment right after the boat did a complete 360 on the water while traveling at a rather high rate of speed....which they do purposely to make the boat come to a stop......she LOVED it!!!!
And just for the record.....we get to go back.....20 minutes into the ride and a major storm rolled through. We did make it safely back to the dock before the roof completely fell out.
More pics to follow in the coming days from the other various FREE activities we got to enjoy.
